STUDIO ROUND-UP: BIG NAMES, BIG MOMENTS, BIGGER PRODUCTION

It’s been a packed few months at Production Park, with our studios busier than ever. An incredible line-up of talent has been coming through the gates, as well as a hive of industry activity and collaboration taking place across the country.

TATE MCRAE HITS THE FLOOR

Canadian pop powerhouse Tate McRae and her team joined us to rehearse for Miss Possible – her debut arena tour supporting her third studio album, So Close To What. Known for choreography as fierce as her vocals, Tate and her dancers took full advantage of our dance studio spaces to perfect routines that have been stopping crowds in their tracks.

GHOST TAKE OVER STUDIO 001

Swedish rock phenomenon Ghost brought their signature spectacle to Production Park as they geared up for their latest tour. Known for their theatrical stagecraft and powerful blend of heavy metal and arena rock, the band transformed Studio 001 into a high-tech hive of activity. From fine-tuning their elaborate set designs to programming complex automation systems, the visit was one of our most technically ambitious yet.

While on site, Matthew Geasey from Clear All Visuals generously carved out time to speak with students from the Academy of Live Technology. He offered career insights and a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the intricate visual production work his team were undertaking for Ghost. It’s moments like these that highlight the invaluable connection between real-world experience and technical education at Production Park.

HOMEGROWN HEROES: KAISER CHIEFS

We were thrilled to welcome Yorkshire legends Kaiser Chiefs back to Studio 001 ahead of their homecoming show at Temple Newsam, where they marked the 20th anniversary of their landmark debut album Employment in front of 25,000 fans.

The band used our rehearsal space to prep for a bold stage production, complete with multiple LED screens and bespoke content – including some unexpected Jurassic Park-inspired moments.

HIGH ENERGY WITH ELLIE SAX

Another standout local name passing through Production Park was international saxophone sensation Ellie Sax, who brought her Ibiza-ready energy while rehearsing for her Ministry of Sound Ibiza Anthems 2025 shows. It was a pleasure to host Ellie and her team – and a special shoutout to her four-legged sidekick, Pippin, who became something of a campus celebrity.

SXSW COMES TO LONDON

Following the huge success of the British Music Embassy stages at SXSW Austin, we were proud to be part of the action again – this time for the first-ever SXSW London. Our team, alongside students from the Academy of Live Technology, handled everything from FOH to stage setup, gaining hands-on experience at one of the most exciting new music industry events in the UK.

ROCK THE WORLD: WHERE EDUCATION MEETS PRODUCTION

We’re still buzzing from ROCK THE WORLD – a bold and brilliant theatrical collaboration between Academy of Live Technology and CAPA College.

Held right here at Production Park on 16 May, this high-octane production fused performance and production in spectacular fashion. CAPA’s elite performers lit up the stage, while ALT’s international learners – fresh from a four-week intensive course – ran the technical side from the ground up, mastering everything from rigging to show control.

REPRESENTING THE NORTH AT CREATIVE CITIES CONVENTION

We were proud to serve as Official Studio Partner of the Creative Cities Convention 2025, the UK’s only conference dedicated to TV, film, and digital creators outside of London.

This year’s event took place in Bradford, the 2025 UK City of Culture, and brought together leading voices from across the media landscape. As the North’s largest multipurpose studio complex, it was a privilege to represent our region’s production strength and contribute to the future of creative industries across the UK.

GLASTO PREP AT PRODUCTION PARK

The 1975
Before taking to the Pyramid Stage for their Friday night headline set at Glastonbury, The 1975 were here at Production Park, bringing one of the most technically ambitious festival productions ever attempted to life. For several weeks, Studio 001 became the creative and technical home for the band’s incredible team – a place to rehearse, refine, and realise a show that pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in live music. The overall scale and complexity of the build made it no ordinary headline set.

Burning BRAT
Charli XCX’s blazing BRAT backdrop was arguably one of the most talked-about special effects at Glastonbury 2025. The custom flame drape—designed with multi-zone flame control - was the work of Faber Entertainment Engineering - who carried out rigorous pre-show testing in Studio 005 to ensure maximum visual impact without compromising on safety.

Doechii
Doechii’s team also took advantage of our studio spaces ahead of Glastonbury for technical rehearsals. Her high-energy set featured dancers clad in Vivienne Westwood, delivering a performance that wowed critics. Praise focused on her magnetic stage presence, powerful rapping and choreography, and her distinctive blend of storytelling and musicality.

WHAT’S NEXT?
We’ve got some exciting new TV productions lined up for later this year – more on that soon.

In the meantime, a huge thanks to everyone who’s passed through our doors recently. Whether you're a global act or homegrown talent, Production Park continues to be where the world’s biggest ideas come to life.
